Here is a very difficult to find set of the "Darktown Baseball" prints. These are original Currier & Ives small folio, hand colored lithographs with at least 1 1/2" margins (actually more) all around. Each print is museum mounted and matted in Victorian walnut deep dish frames 15" X 22" or larger all with gold liners. All prints are in very good condition.
Two prints each have one minute pinhole out in the margin you have to search to find. One of the frames has some loss to the gesso on the gold liner. Other than that it would be difficult to find a finer set. The titles are in order of the pictures along with their Conningham numbers; as they are vignettes sizes are not given. These are some of the very few lithographs of Currier & Ives to show a baseball diamond.
